These are the pictures taken by Oktober [AKA Violett to any old school Matchmaker people readng this] during the
New Year's party I attended on the last day of 1996. It was a good party. I had fun. As time has passed
these pictures are a bit out of date (many of the couples have since broken up). Not to mention the fact that
many people look entirely different. Personally, this was the first day I'd been happy in a long time because
the roof in my house had collapsed a week and a half earlier and ruined all of my stuff. If you live in the
south and have pipes in your attic, I'd highly recommend turning off your water when there's an overnight freeze.
As a result of the destruction, I vowed to not shave until the house was back to normal. I didn't keep this
promise to myself but I did keep the sideburns that grew as a result. Trust me, if you have the means,
I highly recommend growing out your sideburns (preferrably if you're a guy). Not that I'm superstitious... but...
